Study tour as per the curriculum is an opportunity to visit a place of educational or historical importance. These activities help students acquire more knowledge through actual exposure to different places that help them visualize what they learn in class.
RAF International University History and Geography teaching students had an opportunity to visit the Olorgesailie pre -historical site on 3rd of August 2018. The site is located along Magadi road,70kms away from Nairobi,Olorgesailie pre-historic site is world renown as the “factory of stone tools” and the only place in the world with the largest number of stone tools. Olorgesailie has excellently preserved biological and cultural evidence about the evolution of man.
Students found important evidence that concerns the habits and activities of early pre-historic peoples of the Acheuleus or “Hand axe” culture.
